Alabaster Kids – Baton Pass
Research shows that parents are the single most influential factor in a child's faith. 82% of kids whose parents talk about and practice faith at home go on to follow Jesus as adults — compared to 36% whose parents simply bring them to church. Alabaster Kids is one hour a week. You have the rest. We want to help you make the most of it.
Sundays Big Idea:
Before we can love and work well, we need quiet, calm and trusting hearts instead of jumpy or worked up. Psalm 131 shows us how trusting God instead of chasing after things too big for us helps quiet our hearts. (Toddlers are hearing this too, in the story of Adam and Eve listening to the snake instead of God.)
Discuss:
What makes it hard to hear God, or love people well — noise, screens, busyness, worry?
Have you ever felt so worked up about something that you snapped at someone or forgot something important?
What are some ways or things that help you quiet, calm, and settle down?
Practice & Pray:
Try starting the day with quiet time together praying before you head off to school or work.
