Weekly Scripture Passage
Personal Reading
Meditation
Read the weekly passage slowly and prayerfully, letting it become a place of encounter.
Read
Read the passage slowly and carefully. Take your time. As you move through the text, pay attention to what words and ideas draw your attention in unique ways. When something catches you, note it — in your mind or in a journal.
What word or idea is drawing your attention?
Reflect
Return to the beginning and read again. This time, let the text connect with you personally. Which words or phrases resonate with your heart, your season, your person right now? What do you need to know, or be, or do in light of this?
What does this mean for your life today?
Respond
Talk to God about your experience. If you're confused, say that. Moved? Express gratitude. Upset? Tell him. Compelled to worship? Worship. Pray out loud or write it out — either way, let it be honest and real.
What do you want to say to God right now?
Rest
Be still. You've read, reflected, and responded — now simply be with God. No agenda, no words required. Rest in his presence, open and unhurried, and let him have the last word.
Just be with him.

Discipleship Cohort
Examen
A four-direction rhythm for examining your week together, anchored by the passage.
Up
Share a highlight or celebration from your week. Where did God feel close? What answered prayers, moments of grace, or signs of his presence did you notice?
Where did God feel near this week?
Down
Share a low point, struggle, or temptation from your week. Where did God feel distant? What are you carrying that's heavy — in your soul, your body, your relationships?
Where did God feel far this week?
In
Looking at the passage and your week, where is the Spirit nudging you? A new posture, practice, step of obedience, or truth to believe — what is God's specific invitation to you right now?
What is God inviting you into?
Out
Close by praying over one another — specifically in light of what each person shared as their "in." Speak a commissioning blessing over them for the week ahead, and commit to praying for that invitation throughout the week.
Send each other well.
